Whether to neuter a CRF cat?

I have a 8 month old kitten diagnosed with kidney failure. He's not neutered yet and I don't know if it's worth it to neuter him. He's completely indoor so there's no chance of him sowing wild oats. I don't care about aggressive if he's older. I talked to the vet and he said that it's good for spraying. But I don't want to place him under too much physical stress than it is necessary under his condition. Is straying really a problem? I never had male cats before.
