High blood pressure after pregnancy?

So during my whole pregnancy i had high blood pressure and it kept getting higher throughout so i was monitered closely. Before my pregnancy i did not have high blood pressure it was pretty regular. But we thought it was pregnancy induced hypertension or a mild case of preeclampsia and now at my doctor appointment i STILL have high blood pressure 135/102, and 128/96 were my last readings. I have also been having really painful headaches that dont last too long but do not go away with any medication like tylenol or ibuprofin. And sometimes see little flashins . I don't know what could be causing this? i went to the doctor today and theyre was alot of bloodwork done and i had to pee in a cup. I just don't understand why this is happening and my doctor said it is "Very interesting" which i don't really like to hear when i am at a doctors office. Anybody know what this might be?
