How do I cook scrambled eggs with not being runny?

This morning, I cooked scrambled eggs with onions, green bell peppers and tomatoes. The ending results were that the scrambled eggs were runny - because of the tomatoes. Now, how can I make scrambled eggs without it being runny? Do I saute the tomatoes really good to get all the juice out, then put in the onions and green bell peppers?
