Civil Question-State of FL?

My ex-fiance put an injunction on me which was ruled to be indefinite by the court, I got arrested previously for domestic violence (he called them/I wasnt given the chance), basically its a long story but i fought back he was very verbally abusive and physically on different occasions. (im a female), My case was dropped (the misdemnor charge) after the injunction was put on me. I know I can file a motion to have the injunction lifted but when should I go about doing this? 6 months or a year? I am a college student and i think i deserve my rights, i have no intention on contacting my ex. Feedback would be appreciated.
